Profile & Account

Your photo, name, sign-in email, password, app language, theme, and the danger zone — everything personal to you rather than to your business.

Last updated Aug 12, 2026

Your Profile page holds everything that belongs to you rather than to your business: your name, the email you sign in with, your password, the language the app speaks to you in, and the button that deletes the whole account.

Get to it from the profile menu in the top right, then Profile. It is its own page — not one of the Settings tabs — which is the single most common thing people get lost on. Anything about your company (logo, business address, tax ID, license number, document defaults) is in Settings instead.

Like the rest of the app, this page saves as you type. There is no Save button.

#Your Photo

Your profile picture is visible to you only. It never appears on an estimate, an invoice, or anything a client sees — the thing clients see is your business logo, which lives in Settings → Business.

Jobkore falls back through three sources, in this order:

  1. A photo you upload here
  2. Your Google account picture, if you signed in with Google
  3. A Gravatar matched to your email address

So a photo may already be there before you upload anything. Click the image or Upload to replace it; once you have uploaded one, a delete button removes it and drops you back to the fallbacks.

#Name and Email

Personal info

First Name and Last Name. These are used in your profile and account settings — your business name is a separate field in Settings → Business, and that is the one that prints on documents.

Email

This is your sign-in email, and it is also where notifications go. A Verified badge shows when it is confirmed.

To change it, click Change Email and enter the new address. Jobkore sends a verification email to the new address and tells you it is waiting. The change does not take effect until you open that email and click the link, so a typo cannot lock you out — you keep signing in with the old address until the new one is confirmed.

This is not your business email

Settings → Business has its own Email field, which is what clients see on documents and reply to. Changing one does not change the other, and plenty of contractors want them different — a personal address for signing in, billing@ for clients.

#Preferences

  • App Language — English or Spanish, for the Jobkore interface. This is also the language Hank replies to you in; he has no separate setting. It does not change what language your clients get, which is set per client. See Language Support.
  • Show daily quotes — displays an inspirational quote at the bottom of each page. On by default, and off in one click if that is not your thing.
  • Preferred Map App — which app opens when you tap an address, such as a client's service location. Worth setting on the phone you actually drive with.

#Appearance

Light, Dark, or System is set from the profile menu in the top right, under Appearance — not on the Profile page itself.

The choice is saved to your account rather than to the device, so setting Dark on your phone at the job site also sets it on the laptop in the truck.

#Security

Password

You change your password by emailing yourself a reset link. Click Send Reset Link and Jobkore sends one to your address; the link is good for one hour.

There is no "enter your current password, then a new one" form anywhere in the app.

Google

Sign in with Google, or link Google to an account you already have. You can disconnect it later from the same place.

If you created your account with Google, you may not have a password at all. In that case Jobkore asks you to set one before disconnecting, so that removing Google does not leave you with no way to sign in.

#Danger Zone

Delete Account permanently deletes your account and everything attached to it:

  • All clients, estimates, and invoices
  • Uploaded files and documents
  • Billing and subscription data

To confirm, you type your own email address — not the word "DELETE". It cannot be undone.

Export first

Run Export Everything from Settings → Import & Export before you delete. It gives you a zip of your clients, catalog items, subs, estimates, invoices, and payments. After deletion there is nothing to recover.

Deleting your account is not the same as cancelling your subscription. If you only want to stop paying, cancel from the Billing page — your data is kept, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for.
