#Date Range Filtering

All report data is scoped to a date range that you control. A date range selector at the top of the Reports page lets you quickly switch between common time periods or pick a custom range.

PresetDescription
This MonthFrom the 1st of the current month to today
Last MonthThe entire previous calendar month
This QuarterFrom the start of the current quarter to today
This YearFrom January 1st of the current year to today
Last YearThe entire previous calendar year
CustomPick any start and end date using the date pickers

When you change the date range, all summary cards, charts, and exports update to reflect the selected period.

#Key Metrics

Four summary cards at the top of the Reports page give you a snapshot of the selected date range:

  • Revenue — the amount collected from paid invoices, with the number of invoices paid underneath.
  • Avg Days to Pay — how long your clients actually take to pay, on average. It is the number on this page most worth watching, and the one that tells you whether online payments and reminders are working.
  • Estimates Sent — how many estimates went out in the period and their total value, with the accepted count beneath. This figure excludes change orders, so if you run a lot of them the count will look lower than your document list suggests.
  • Conversion Rate — the percentage of sent estimates that clients accepted.

Outstanding and Overdue are on the Dashboard

Those two live on your Dashboard rather than here. Reports answers "how did this period go"; the Dashboard answers "what is owed right now".

Tip

Keep an eye on your conversion rate. If it's dropping, consider reviewing your estimate pricing, adjusting your follow-up timing, or using Hank AI™ to make your estimates more detailed and professional.

#Revenue Charts

Revenue Over Time

A monthly bar chart of your collected revenue for the selected period. The chart automatically groups by weeks for shorter ranges and by months for longer ranges. Currency values on the axis are abbreviated for readability (e.g., "$12.5K").

Revenue by Client

A horizontal bar chart showing your top clients by revenue within the selected date range. This helps you quickly see where your income is concentrated and identify your highest-value clients.

#Hank's Analysis

Hank's Analysis is a plain-language summary of your business performance for the selected period. It reads your actual numbers — revenue, conversions, outstanding balances, payment cycles, client concentration — and highlights what is going well, flags concerns, and suggests next steps.

It also reads the period before the one you selected and compares the two — revenue, invoices paid, conversion, change orders, new clients, top clients. That is what turns "you collected $40,000" into "you collected $40,000, up from $31,000, on fewer but larger jobs."

The analysis is cached for 24 hours per date range, so reopening the page is instant. Click Refresh to force a new one after your data changes. It works on every date range, custom ranges included.

#CSV Exports

Export your data as CSV files for use in spreadsheets, accounting software, or your own records. Five export types are available, each scoped to your selected date range:

ExportData Included
InvoicesInvoice number, client, project, title, status, subtotal, discount, deposit, tax, total, created date, due date, and paid date
EstimatesEstimate number, client, project, title, status, subtotal, discount, deposit, tax, total, created date, and valid-until date
PaymentsInvoice number, client, amount, payment method, reference, and date
Tax SummaryInvoice number, client, subtotal, tax rate, tax collected, discount, total, and paid date — with a summary row at the bottom
Sub Payment TotalsOne row per subcontractor, with how many payments you made them and the total paid inside the range

Each downloaded file is named with the export type and date range for easy identification (e.g., invoices-2026-01-01-to-2026-03-12.csv).

The one to run at tax time

Set the range to Last Year and pull Sub Payment Totals. It gives you one line per sub with the total you paid them, which is exactly the shape your accountant wants and the thing nobody enjoys reconstructing from a checkbook in March.
